Founded by a first-generation Cantonese American, the brand is structured around Cantonese flavor traditions, not ingredient novelty. While fermented black soybeans (豆豉, dau-si), longan (龍眼, long ngaan), and goji berries (杞子, gei zi) transformed American dining, breakfast remained unchanged.
