UMAMI GRANOLA Now Available at Jubilee Marketplace in Greenpoint

First Cantonese breakfast granola comes to a Brooklyn shelf curated by the neighborhood

Last updated: October 1, 2026

NEW YORK, NY — October 1, 2026 — UMAMI GRANOLA, the first Cantonese breakfast granola, is now available at Jubilee Marketplace's 23,000 square foot flagship in Greenpoint. Its two blends, Dau-Si-Do and Dragon-Eyed Wolf, are on the flagship's shelves.

UMAMI GRANOLA's arrival comes as the granola category continues to expand. The global granola market reached $4 billion in 2024 and is projected to pass $6 billion by 2034, according to Dimension Market Research.

Jubilee Marketplace opened in 1999 in the Financial District as one of the first full-service grocery stores in New York City. Its flagship followed in January 2023, with whole animal butchery, seafood from neighborhood purveyor Greenpoint Fish and Lobster, and produce from farms including Norwich Meadows. Jubilee describes the flagship as curated by the people who walk through the door each day.

UMAMI GRANOLA is made in Brooklyn, so a Jubilee shelf keeps the brand in its home borough.

UMAMI GRANOLA's Dau-Si-Do blend carries fermented black soybeans (dau-si, 豆豉), hoisin, and fresh ginger from Cantonese dim sum tradition. Its name pairs dau-si with a nod to the do-si-do dance move, holding both sides of the founder's Cantonese American upbringing.

Longan (龍眼), goji berries, and condensed milk make up the Dragon-Eyed Wolf blend. Its name comes from longan's Cantonese "dragon eye" translation and from goji berries, traditionally called wolfberries. Together, the ingredients honor the Cantonese tong sui tradition.

"Jubilee Greenpoint has one of the largest granola sections I have seen anywhere, and we are excited to bring the culture and intention of our Cantonese traditions to its shelf," said Cindy Lam, Founder of UMAMI GRANOLA.

A tasting demo is planned at Jubilee in November.

UMAMI GRANOLA can be found in-store at Jubilee Marketplace, 145 West Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222.
