UMAMI GRANOLA to Debut at Maum Market in Brooklyn
First Cantonese breakfast granola makes its market debut on its home turf
Last updated: August 19, 2026
NEW YORK, NY — August 19, 2026 — UMAMI GRANOLA, the first Cantonese breakfast granola, will debut at Maum Market on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Industry City in Brooklyn. UMAMI GRANOLA's two debut blends will be available for sampling and purchase. Their Dau-Si-Do blend, made with fermented black soybeans (dau-si, 豆豉), hoisin, and fresh ginger, carries Cantonese dim sum tradition. Their Dragon-Eyed Wolf blend, made with longan (龍眼), goji berries, and condensed milk, carries Cantonese tong sui tradition of sweet soup.
UMAMI GRANOLA is made in Brooklyn, and Maum Market brings the brand directly to its Brooklyn community.
As consumer behavior moves away from pan-Asian and Asian-inspired labeling, UMAMI GRANOLA stands apart in its specificity, built from Cantonese tradition.
"Bringing UMAMI GRANOLA to Maum Market, here in Brooklyn, feels aligned with the intention behind both of our Cantonese blends," said Cindy Lam, Founder of UMAMI GRANOLA.
Maum Market takes place Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Industry City, 33 35th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232, where UMAMI GRANOLA will be set up in the 5-2-A space. Follow along on Instagram @umamigranola.
